This vintage or possible Chinese vase stand has a deep wood stained finish that very reveals the fine wood grain. The hardwood is likely a type of rosewood, hongmu or perhaps another very dense hardwood. It has a rich brown color with a flat base with traditional cloud motif.

Having been in storage for decades, with exception to minor signs of use it remains in fine condition and are in good polish. It measures 5 1/2" in diameter by 3/4" tall (14 x 2 cm). An excellent way to set off decorative ceramics like bowls, pots and vases by giving them a pedestal.
